Shock

This is not a o ring. It's named x ring. The shape like a cylinder. And center zone is sink. It's for keeping oil. She is a Japanese fashion model. X ring likes a her waist line. And touching x ring feel like marshmallows. Very softly. Serpent prepared two option parts. Tin coat shock shaft and emulsion cap. AE  provide same option too. In my experience. Shock shaft coating is very effective. In starting up shack movement. Adhesion among shaft and o ring delay movement. And emulsion cap without bladders. Air bubble on oils absorb volume valuable. On slow speed if you ride up corner tubes. Emulsion shock is difficult to fall down. I don't like the piston. Not tapered shape. And no option pin holes.   

Front bulkhead

Front bulkhead is not same as rear. But it's not considered about skid angle. It becomes drive loss. But center diff is set on chassis center. Drive shaft almost set parallel . Then drive effectively is high. Super gear is set front side. Then engin can be set front side. Spindle spec as same as RC8.2. Kingpin is supported by set screw from side way. Spindle hole on suspension arm are operated straight remer. Hinge pin hole are drilled by 4.2mm tap. All suspension move smoothly. Ackerman plate is made by carbon. Suspension plate is separated from arm. Mono molding wing mount. Theses ideas are from HB. Racing car is almost same as others. Concept is most important. Simple and durable is . Parts is high quality made. Chinese industry getting better.    

Rear suspension arm

I drilled hinge pin hole with 4.2mm tap. Peast grease drive pin after that though dust boots. Treat softly neither boots are broken. Carbon shock mount is operated with CA.   Bulkhead plastic material is so hard that paste screw grease. Especially wing mount long screw needs that.      

Center diff mount

Can you watch return spring? The spring is more large radiant on both out side. It's for not moving spring positions. And three are two tubes for wrapping screw. For that no need measure among break pads. Break pad has thickness. Center diff mount is mono plate. Not separate type like a DNX8. It's difficult to maintain around center diff. Center diff plastic material is not so hard. Previous cobra needed tapping. You should not tighten under four screws. After mounting top plate. Checking diff move smoothly,tighten the screw.  

Diff

 I made diff case horizontal with sand paper on glass board like a iPad. Grease up drive cups at groove. And grease up o ring with o ring grease. The diff case has eight reserve tank. Put urethane bar to the hole. More oil can be reserve than another diff.    

Arrived

SRX8 arrived at Japan. There is no manual by paper. Only online PDF! Chassis is old type. But suspension arm is new type. It beefed up on chub sprit. Old suspension arm has shock pin stopper on front side.        

Creation model

Miura was a employee of TAMIYA. And he was famous as mechanic of Hara HB. He has long experience of nitro car model. Lee Martin part away Mugen. He join Infinity buggy team. Infinity is a brand name of Creation model company in Japan. They are developing new buggy. It's made in Japan. On load racing Infinity has already been on sale. Do they develop buggy zero base or sworkz?  

World logistics

Tracking my baggage. UPS move my Serpent CA to KY. Next KY to AK. AK is famous of logistics center. But I don't know why Kentucky? Sun Francisco is near for A Main.

First batch

I Almost brands make error parts on first batch. Serpent offers free replacement program. It includes suspension arms and shock pins. Plastic material has changed now. Which material suspension arms does my kit include? Another's chassis is updated now. Center diff under guard is breaked with hitting stone. Old chassis has a hole under center diff. But now is nothing hole.

Serpent

I will talk about Serpent and Durango. Durango dnx408 and Serpent S811 are twins. Especially steering wipers is not set vertical has angle. And suspension types are same. First  Gerd Strenge had designed nitro buggy for Serpent. After that he firmed Durango. Billy Easton refined S811. Now he come back to Serpent. I hope him to cooperate  development SRX8.

I went to track on last Sunday. There is no trouble. Finally The car got durability. It takes much money and time. Shock angle is most effective setting point for the car. Front shock is set on high angle. Rear is set on normal position. It make handling quick response. The car can trace corner with little steering. I got best rap of mine. I orders new car for next season.

I went to track today. Rear suspension bushes issue is fixed. Today it has never broken. Xray plastic parts is high quality. I try some front settings. I use Mugen front lower suspension arm. Lower shock hole is selected inside. That make handling well! Response is getting better. And thick spring make jumping ease. Kyosho gray and AE47wt.  

XB8 2017

XB8 2017 is coming soon.   Only Xray continues to ship new buggy every years. Is it almost meaning less? Race result don't improve. But we want something new.  

Rear suspension bushes

Rear suspension bush is the most weak point of DNX8. I can't run race. Someone modify like this on RC Tech. If it was modified. Probably shoulder side is broken.   Left side is X-ray.Right side is Durango. X-ray Shoulder of bush is thick. I cut lower suspension arm like Mugen front. And I drill 4.2mm on hinge pin holes. Xray bush is little smaller than Durango. Then I wrap glass fiber tape. I will confirm durability in next run.

I have used Mugen front lower suspension arm. Since then I never break plastic suspension bush. It's from suspension arm shape. Mugen arm is separated on hinge pin hole. Then arm don't push hinge pin to forward. And I through 4.2mm drill the hole. The drill bite 0.2mm wider then hinge pin. More clearance reduce pushing hinge pin.
