OS break in

This is after heat cycle in. OS hit cylinders at top of piston. It’s not complete. I went paring lots for running in. Keep 110 degrees centigrade with main needle adjusting. Os can return idle from maximum. It’s secondary needle is not  adjusted yet. Engine sound is reduced by twice times. https://youtu.be/SpWeLNPCbk8 After I adjusted secondary needle close. Ensign sound is reduce once. https://youtu.be/mrDqPfvIc3s Zooming piston top. Silver area is results of  break in. It’s not completely finished. Should silver area reach to mid  of  top oil lanes. Black zones is indication of seizure. It came from engine temperature high. Another causes burry or dust are in to oil lanes. Nova has many burries. OS Sleeve quality is better. Almost sleeve are operated for avoiding burry. It’s a Nova conlod big metal. It’s the best quality. I can’t find any level difference. It’s a OS piston. We have to avoid dust and burry...

Digital microscope comming. It costs 30 dollars. This is broken piston. Aluminum melt and adhesion to piston. This is burry of sleeve port. This is sleeve top. I can understand it’s soft material.

Steering wiper

I want more steering angle. Then remove screw from c hub. But can’t pull rudders full. This is RC8 knuckle. Same as caster angle,center of circle is set far from tire can get truction on cornering. Then I change hub to +1mm. And change steering wiper to RC8. It can pull knuckles full to stopper. And can select Ackerman with threes. I don’t have to buy carbon plate. Steering rudder hit radio plate little. Then I rubbed plastic. I got enough angle. Almost I don’t use full steering. But tight corners or avoid attacking front runner we need full steering.

A main removed steering knuckle from parts list. Almost discounted parts and kits are abolished. Then serpent will change knuckles soon? This is MP9 knuckles. It’s little longer from kingpin to hub. Another thing. Kyosho is bought by invest bank. Kyosho is a trading company. The bank restructuring Kyosho. It’s negative operation. Recently Tebo doesn’t race concern with that. Japanese children don’t know Kyosho and Tamiya. They only knows Nintendo and Bandai Namco. This is RC8. It’s very long from kingpin. Probably steering angle is same among threes. But front tires moving distance is different. If  tire moving distance was shorter,it’s easy to make difference Ackerman variables. Underside right tire has not angle. It’s from design of knuckles and c hub.

Three ways for avoiding to break body

After cutting the body I mounted. Serpent body is light weight. But so thin that it is easy to break. Engin head is almost got out from body. It’s good for cooling. Protect breaking,FRP sheets and protect tape are pasted on bak of body. And rear side mounting hole should be ellipse landscape. And front mounting hole be too. It’s a escape area on bending chassis. If there ware escape area,body doesn’t break easily. Using high torque servo need aluminum horn. On neutral carburetor slider should be close completely. Break should be free. But it can effect immediately on breaking. It’s very difficult to set best posit. I adjusted rear break effect delay from front. Past connected sport with shoe goo.

New rear suspension has two holes. If we used inside hole,it means suspension arm becomes short. Short suspension arm moves faster than long arm. Short arm makes traction on the corner. If  car spined out of corner, I try short suspension arm. Srx8 doesn’t have roll center adjustment on d plate. I set outside and low first. Low role center make ease to break on the corner. I set upper link outside. It makes easy to recover for rear breaking. If it was high roll center,upper is set inside.

Coreless servo

I bought new KO servo. KO servo quality is the best. It is made in Japan. I like coreless servo rather than blush less. It has 31.6kg torque. Little child can be pick up by the servo. Especially throttle needs torque for breaking. Now I use Sanwa transmitter. I want to change KO transmitter. Robert Battle uses KO transmitter in NEO 18. But in Japan almost buggy driver use Futaba or Sanwa. Thermal issues and 2.4g confusion issue,Sanwa does not have troubles. Then I use Sanwa yet. KO aluminum case is good design. And cables are flexible. And rubber seal is thickness.

Arrived EVO parts.

Arrived conversation parts from a main. I chacked these parts. Nothing change poisons from old version. Back to 811 chassis. No need sub plates. Probably I think sub plates make weak points of  chassis. And make high costs for production. Center drive becomes lighter each 10g. And drive shaft is shorter 2mm. Old 811 has trouble of rear bearing broken. On bending chassis drive shaft touch the rear bearing. New version is protected o ring on drive cup. Aluminum shaft is very beautiful. I’ll check durability on running. Center of shaft has thickness. Suspension arm is almost same. Shock hole and hub hole is added. But it’s not used almost setting. Suspension pin hole is not precious. After putting down stop screw,drills 4.1mm bite. Left is a new upright. Under weight adding function is lost. Old version is rather good. Inside suspin option is added. Probably it is not used.
