Detail of Next service

This is a REDS engine's sleeve. It has seven ports intake and three ports exhaust. Toriton sleeve is same as REDS. Next made groove under the main scavenging port. Side sub port are added guide groove. Outside of sleeve was processed horning operation. Next added guide for scavenging on engine block over rear bearing. And same on side of exhaust port. Next processed sleeve top make vertical. Crank are modified Eccentricity . Next scraped crank over counter weight. Relative make heavy outside of crank . OS cabirater neck are scraped. Then it fit for Picco engine block.

Next finished work

Next has finished work of my Triton. Next report me there is nothing different points compare with Picco. There are some burrys on piston hole. Connection rod and piston pin are processed with WPC surface treatment. Crunc shaft and sleeve are modified. After the engine arrived I'll report detail.

Radio tray

I put off switch tray. It has 5g. The tray is for mechanical switch. But I use digital switch. It may be reduced total chassis strength. I'll check drive feeling next run. It may be increase rear traction. I mount digital switch on chassis. I put oring between chassis and switch. DNX8 radio tray has many screws. It has complex structure . I want to replace buttery box to simple structure. And it make buttery be cool down.

Body

Total weight is 3431g. I want to be 3300g order. I can shave weight only about radio tray. Silencer body is perfect fit for dnx8. I cut side of body little under from line. There is clearance for engin control rod.

Cut carbon

I cut carbon plate with zig saw. This bite like as wire. Then it can cut every direction. I redesigned to get enough strength with cad. And reduce outside 2 hole for staying upper shock. Then it becomes shorter nose than original. It's for getting strength. The carbon plate is made in Japan by Tore. Tore provide aircraft carbon body to Boeing. The carbon plate involve carbon fiber 60%. Another involve 40%. After cutting I polish cutting surface. I use some super hard polish bit. Carve or straight line polishing with each bit for. I put on shock stay and wing stay. Original wing stay are cut off. Only root part use for staying rear rod. Totally I can shave 42g on rear shock stay and wing stay.

Bow

Zig saw bow is arrived. Finally all tools arrived from Amazon. Yesterday I drew line for cutting with scriber. Tonight I'll cut with the bow and polish side of curbin plate.

D815wing stay

D815 wing stay arrived from HPI Japan . This wing stay width of threads is little wider than balk head top. But it can be fit to shave little inside of thread hole. I'll make two holes on carbon plate for upper thread holes. My original wing has 53g. D815 wing stay has 18g. It's has 35g advantage.

Drill hole

First I clip rear shock tower by tape. I drill two holes along with shock tower hole. Then I through screws and clip with rock nuts. I drill all need holes. I put off shock tower. I through drill bite all. A lot of carbon ash are made. Then I need mask and glass.

Carbon parts arrived

Some parts arrived from Amazon. It's a CFRP plate. It's a scriber. These are super hard drill. Diameter are 3mm and 4mm. It's a zig saw bite. If wing stay arrived , I'll make rear shock tower tonight. I make a cutting sheet. It has little large margin around threading hole.

Next starts work

Engine tuning shop Next starts working with my engine. Shop owner DOI introduce my engine at shop blog. I think there is nothing especially point  as Picco OEM. He said so too. Bore rate as same as others. Counter weight design is same as 12 class crunc shaft.

Carbon processing parts

I ordered some carbon processing parts on Amazon. Its carbon plate. I can get three pieces from the plate. And I want to make torque rod holder. It's jig saw bite for carbon processing. It can cut carbon like a balsa. It's a scriber for hard material. It draw line on carbon surface. If you had same size template,you might drill two holes. And through pin for fitting two materials. First you might drill threading holes. Then you can draw precious line with scriber. Complete drawing line. I will write about detail on making shock tower. Super hard 3mm drill for carbon processing. It's polishing bits. Totally I payed $80.

Write basic data

I write rear shock tower basic data. Tomorrow I will input CAD at my office. I don't need outer shock hole. Then new shock tower has three holes. I've ordered D815 wing stay normal height at HPI Japan Web shop. If I got D815 wing stay , I will put threading hole. Probably it is same width D815 wing stay to fit bulkhead. I hope so.

Measure rear shock tower

It's a DNX8's rear shock tower. It's made by 4mm thick aluminum. It's a Xray xb8's shock tower. It's heavier than DNX8. It's xb8 Carbon shock tower. It's lighter than aluminum shock 7g. Dnx8 wing stay with carbon rod. It's xb8 wing stay. 18g lighten. D815 wing stay is more lighten. And it has same strength. This weekend is rainy too. I can't go to trick. I'll input size of rear shock tower.m to CAD system. I can shave weight about 30g totally on hight position.
