XB8 detail

Xray open XB8 promotion web page. I'm surprised at weight 3205g. My DNX8 has 3400g over. XB8 can set weight on hub carrier or chassis more band. Xray can make lighten parts that have plenty durability. They have metal processing ability as Kyosho automodel. It's 2015 spec. They shave weight about 200g. One point I can't understand. Chassis length is shorter but wheelbase is same. Front upper suspension arm lost length adjustment. It's for durability. Almost no need changing camber on front. Kingpin ball are made by another material  each upper and lower. It's same as me. Lower is made by heavyweight material. It's for increasing under spring weight. Rear hub carrier becomes normal design. Old one ball connection has no durability and no maintainable with screw lock. Electric XB4 has easy maintainable bulkhead as DNX8. I appoint to became so. Milling operation

I bolt on new chassis immediately. I found different points among two chassis. M2C milling more deeply on lightening. And there is not lightening on engine mount and engine side. I think it's good for getting more strength chassis center. Important things are chassis has two flexible points each front and rear. Not center of chassis. The chassis improve that. I worry about engin bottom touching chassis. It's OK. Another difference is under bell. Original chassis has clearance hole. M2C milling more and more deeply to front end. I built on rear bulkhead only tonight. I changed shock mount screw on second hole from outside. My shock tower doesn't have one outside hole only fourth. It's for getting more reactively. Probably the chassis make more traction on rearend.

M2C chassis

AMain bag arrive at home today. First M2C chassis! It had two skid guards made by iron. It's rear end. It is shaved for skid guard. It makes flat on wearing the guards. Front end too. MBX users add weight on chassis each frontend and rearend. Probably M2C chassis effect same as this. It makes traction increase. Dirango? Maybe I missed order! It's rear sway bar. It is 2.6mm.

Arrma

I warry about Durango parts providing. AMain can provide parts after soon I put parts on cart or wish list. Probably they don't want to make dead stock. Then they watch customers need. I want bulk head. But it will stock on end of June. But I found another brand Arrma. Is the bulkhead same spec as DNX8? Is Arrma one of Hobbico brand? The picture is Durango. It is 2 dollars expensive.

XB8 2016

Martin Bayer report xb8 development. Xray develop too many cars on short term by few members. I feel they can't get plenty resources to xb8. Xb8 become expensive mbx7 not 7r. But it's maximum improve for these years. Expensive mean Xray parts is precious and high price compared Mugen. AE takes two years for developing RC8B3. It's for beating Japanese car. Buggy mechanism is so complex and track condition are so many. Truly improve need to take long time and a lot resources. Martin develop this version mainly. Almost changing point are chassis brace and short wheelbase. They can't get trend nowadays. Metal bearing guid bulkhead. Easy maintenanced bulk. Unicast wing mount. Short shock and flexible suspension arm. Xb8 2015 chassis brace is so bad shape. It's so weak. I don't understand why brace shape curved. Then rear suspension can't work well. It becomes straight bar type then 2016 can work well. ...

Servo

I've used Airtoronics servo. I'll change new servo.   I reserch two servo.   First KO servo.   KO has coreless moter and blashless moter servo. Almost people think blashless is better . But no it isn't. Coreless is better at Power,Control,Speed yet.   Coreless  7.4V 31.6kg 0.11s/60° Blashless 7.4V 26.0kg 0.12s/60° It's completely made in Japan. KO servo is the best quality.   Second Airtoronics. Atronics unviel new servo SRG-BX. it implove trque 0.8kg. 7.4V 19.8kg 0.09s/60° There is not aluminum top case yet. Probably aluminum top type will release soon. Competition buggy needs aluminum top case. Engine control servo need trque for braking. It needs 25kg Sterring servo needs 20Kg. Airtoronics is on the border of trque and speed. For sterring use Airtornics. For Engine control use KO RS x 2.

Maintenance for race.

Tomorrow I'll go to race. Then I'm maintaing DNX8. I broke front suspension arm. The crack is from the shock end pin  to pin stop screw. Then I scrape suspension arm only upper side on this picture.And scrape shock end ball. Mugen MBX7R front drive shaft longer 1mm than rear drive shaft. It can adjust only bush. On the univ side shape of connection is different. It is for not to touch for suspension arm end.

Serpent release all

Serpent new buggy released. Serpent web unveil all detail. Diff case size up and gear lighten is trend nowadays. Serpent has back rush plate same as DNX8. Probably the plate has two pattern. For 46T and 48T. But I like DNX8 design.Because DNX8 has long plate connected torque rod. I think chassis center should not vend. Front and rear side vended separate. It make traction.

RC8B

 Cabarieri got TQ overall. Now RC8B is best car. Cabarieri has best car and best engine. Then he is getting better to get result. The buggy has so simple radio plate structure. The buggy has many point for nowadays buggy need. 1 There are many clearance above the chassis thermal treatment is so good. It's from MP9 2 unistructured plastic wing mount. It's from HB 3 metal bearing guide on bulkhead. It's from Durango. 4 all universal joint It's from MP9. 5 air filter toward front end. It's from Losi. AE released many option parts. These are almost material option. It make small difference but it shave milli seconds.

SERPANT

SERPANT announce new cobra. It is similar as HB. Suspension arm has exchangeable plate too. Plastic one peace wing mount too. Billy Easton designed the car from root. It's aimed for US market. Short shock and row roll center. Sway bar hold is precious. Few years ago Serpant models were manufactured by X-ray. Now these are made in China. Previous Cobra has some issue about drive shaft hold bearing. Now I can't watch drive train and bulkhead. This year is worlds year. Many New models are unveiled. Maintainable bulk cover and metal bearing holder is nesessary. Universal joint drive shaft is nesessary. One peace wing mount is nesessary.  

MP

According from neo buggy Kanai tests new type wing. If you wanted to get race spec MP9. You should buy many hop up parts. Chassis , shock and spring,hub,drive shaft etc... Meaningless to buy the kit. Only can use plastic parts. Probably TKI4 include those hop ups. Kanai  can develop only MP line. Then he often improve parts. Then parts number are change at sub revision. It takes much money for maintenance Kanai spec. But He can improve MP9 high pace. Kanai is fifties now. Physical performance become weak. Responsibility, sight. Then MP9 becomes mild handling car. Long shock and spring make handling mild. And easy landing from big air.

Body

Total weight is 3431g. I want to be 3300g order. I can shave weight only about radio tray. Silencer body is perfect fit for dnx8. I cut side of body little under from line. There is clearance for engin control rod.

COPY

Losi eight 4 copies break system torque rod. It might becomes a standard. But I don't like complex linkage system. It like a hyper9. Long linkage rod make throttle response dull. And it is difficult to adjust linkage. Simple is best.

BODY SHELL

MP9 body shell arrived. I don't like shell design. Especially front window. Other shell has rim on the window side. It protect crack on fall down. Probably MP9 shell has weak down force. Body shell is setting parts. Windy day I will use MP9. No wind day DNX8 original. Next I want to try Type R D815. Ty Tessmann get advantage of aerodynamic on last worlds. That designed for quick steer car. It can get rear traction more. If I adjusted low roll center.And droop set short. Rear breaks early. At that time Type R will useful. But probably DNX8 has rear traction well. Then original body make for front down force oriented. My son study at Musashino art university. The university is one of the most famous art university in Japan. He publish photo album. I like his works. But I don't have artistic talent. I draw the line free hand. Wheel and nut

I use AVID Racing wheel nut. I never pop out wheel on long race since using this nut. This nut has curved surface. It hold wheel surface tight.  AVID has something nice. I use only AVID wheel too. Each wheel brands have each width. If you used many brand,You will can't understand changing your tred set up.  AVID wheel have enough strength for back mesh structure. Today We have become to use hard inner. Then we need hard wheel. It came from good surface truck. Especially on US,they has many good buggy trucks. And truck surface like Turnpike for New England. Generally ball link front suspension car good at soft inner. C-Hub suspension car good at hard inner. Then almost buggies designed in US or target US market have C-Hub. I measure some engines catalog spec. Only Nova is long stroke. Generally Long stroke engine is high torque. Only Spanish Brand Ultimate has release square bore rate engines manufactured by Nova. I'm interested in. But I can't get  in Amain. Probably Nova have already tried square. Then is Nova old fashioned? No! Why only Nova remain long stroke? In my opinion Nova has most long life PC. Long stroke means narrow piston top. Thermal expansion effect most small. And Nova clank shaft weight is most heavy. But Nova made original bearing. Nova bearing balls are most small. Bearing world is so deep! Small ball make small friction. But small ball is so weak. Probably Nova set heavy counte...
