arrived

These parts are arrived from a main. I changed steering plate #2. It makes feeling dull. But front wheel hub is changed +0. Then totally even. Shock tower was changed aluminum. Little heavy than carbon shock tower. It has durability. And it makes head down on jumping. Caster block was changed 17deg. It was operated another coating. It avoids from scratch. And I return 10 skid bushes. High caster angle is good for on power steering. High skid angle make head down on breaking.  

Still do we should break in?

When do we complete break in? Until it's 100℃ on head with racing status main needle. On visual decided method. OS engine attach at head of  piston. 2/3 width top to groove is shaved. It's complete. My OS piston is not same width yet. More 5 tanks will be needed to run.  This is a PICCO piston. The piston attach upper of piston pin hole. It's avoid thermal expansion for combustion.  But if you saw piston pin area,you find thickness of holding block. The the area is more expanded than other area. We have to care heat cycle operation. I have never use Nova. I'll try next.

break in

I went to parking lot for OS break in. It has long straight. I can take 5s maximum throttle straight. And non dart is good for air condition. I usually operate engine running in. Heat cycle is very important. I keep 100℃ on head with main needle control. From first time I don't hesitate closing main needle. Almost max throttle stayed. Max throttle intakes max oil. And exhaust shaved metal material. After running head should be cool down to 30 ℃. 2min x 8 3min x 3 4min x 6 For example intake side of engine has 59℃. At the same time exhaust side of engine has 86℃. Exhaust side is higher. Then piston top is more expand at exhaust side. Left side is operated by stand. Piston top doesn't shaved uniformity by long time thermal expansion. And bottom side of piston is shaved with attach strong with sleeve. Right side is operated heat cycle break in. I mounted OS engine. I adjusted linkage square between brakes and throttle. But Throttle can't move smoothly. Then I move carburetor pivot ball to front side.  And carburetor ball vertically. It's a basically adjustment for smooth throttle control. I reuse X-ray XB8 body. Serpent body is thin and lightweight. For race only. Rear mount places little low.

I put a Kyosho blue on front shock. Neumann sets Serpent pink. I can't got pink spring yet in this year. Probably pink is softer than Kyosho blue. I feel SRX8 figure front up on big air. Then little softer spring will be matched. I use 1.3mm x 8 pistons. Then I select little stiffer oil. I put 1.5k oil on center diff. Same as Neumann set up. I select Jconcept rear wing It is low down force. But it has roll force on the corner. I change engine to OS low head. It make to reduce roll force. Then I want to need more roll. I adjust roll center on low position. And wheelbase sets 2.5mm. These make rear braking timing early. Upper link position is outside. It make changing camber angle on bottom to reduce. On sliding rear lose control,The set make easy to recover rear traction. On bulkhead side use inside and most low hole,Upper arm becomes long. Neumann always uses this position. Inside is fixed. And i will try low or second low. ...

Setup

I'm changing setup from Neumann's setup sheet. Front kick up are changed 11 deg with 15 deg caster block. It's for on power steering. When I opened diff case almost oil is disappeared. It's not leaked. Urethane foam absorb oil. Probably urethane foam absorb oil pressure too. And conical gear pitch is smaller than others. Then the diff case need stiffer oil. Like a 20k cst on front. And I've ordered steering plate#2. It has shorter than normal #1. It's for off power steering. It brings mild feeling. It's a normal plate #1. I want to change linkage ball end. It has long plastic bridge. It's easy to bend or brake.  I changed shock pistons. MP9 1.3mm x 8 holes. It can be used stiffer oil. Stiffer oil is difficult to change from thermal on long distance race.

I get new OS engine. Low head type change roll and pitching movement. Probably setting is changed. Roll movement will be weak. On jumping control will be difficult. Carburetor and reducer are new type. They write Ⅱ on reducer. At engine mount drive shaft side is already shaved.  Pipe is T2090SC.

Setup parts

I referred Neumann setup sheet. I will order blows. 600856 front pink spring 600790 # 2carbon steering arm 600784 17 deg c hub 600239   2.7mm Rear Anti-Roll Bar There are not 19 deg caster and 2.8mm rear sway bar.

First Impression

I went to track on Sunday. I set up SRX8 with near default setup sheet. The track has tight corner. Then I change rear diff oil to 3K. And rear roll canter sets most low. I feel on power steering is less. And rear traction is less. When on power rear end sink. After virgin running I saw another pro driver's sheets. Below is Neumann's sheet. Setting direction is same for my feeling. I watch diff setup is different from another. And rear sway bar is 2.8 thick. It's good for rear traction. Front caster block has more caster. But there is not 19 caster block. Probably it is not on ship. It's good for on power. For half year Neumann set front pink and rear blue. I can't know it v1 or v2. Almost selection is almighty. Steering  plate is selected 2. Probably it makes quick response. I feel diff oil softer than another buggy. It came from diff case structures. I try more thick diff oil based on Neumann's set.

Shock

This is not a o ring. It's named x ring. The shape like a cylinder. And center zone is sink. It's for keeping oil. She is a Japanese fashion model. X ring likes a her waist line. And touching x ring feel like marshmallows. Very softly. Serpent prepared two option parts. Tin coat shock shaft and emulsion cap. AE  provide same option too. In my experience. Shock shaft coating is very effective. In starting up shack movement. Adhesion among shaft and o ring delay movement. And emulsion cap without bladders. Air bubble on oils absorb volume valuable. On slow speed if you ride up corner tubes. Emulsion shock is difficult to fall down. I don't like the piston. Not tapered shape. And no option pin holes.   

Front bulkhead

Front bulkhead is not same as rear. But it's not considered about skid angle. It becomes drive loss. But center diff is set on chassis center. Drive shaft almost set parallel . Then drive effectively is high. Super gear is set front side. Then engin can be set front side. Spindle spec as same as RC8.2. Kingpin is supported by set screw from side way. Spindle hole on suspension arm are operated straight remer. Hinge pin hole are drilled by 4.2mm tap. All suspension move smoothly. Ackerman plate is made by carbon. Suspension plate is separated from arm. Mono molding wing mount. Theses ideas are from HB. Racing car is almost same as others. Concept is most important. Simple and durable is . Parts is high quality made. Chinese industry getting better.
