Why do we use nitro fuel for 1/8 RC?
Why not gasoline ?
It is from gasoline is difficult to make air-fuel mixture.
It has narrow inflammable range.
Then carburetor structure becomes complex.

Inflammable range are 

Gasoline          1.4-7.6
Methanol         6.4-36.5
Nitromethane   7.5-100


Nitro fuel made by Methanol and Nitromethane.

These have wide inflammable range.
Then nitro fuel is easy to make mixture.
Then carburetor structure is so simple.
And Methanol make fuel safety.


Then RC nitro engine can not control combustion timing
It is spontaneous combustion for plug.
.
There is nothing to improve combustion efficiency on RC nitro engines these 20 years.

Only improvement is turbo plug by Rody Rome 20 about years ago.
Then nowadays improvement of engine focus on conrod strength and crankshaft valance and PC thermal expansion.
Glow fuel include lubricant.
It made from castor or porieteru oil.
Do you have experience your eyes feel pain on exhaust blowing?
It cause from castor.

Do you have experience smell little sweet from fuel ?
It cause from porieteru oil

For car use almost fuel has castor.
Castor has strength for high temperature.
Especially castor make carbon sludge.
If so you should clean PC every after run.

I warry about Durango parts providing. AMain can provide parts after soon I put parts on cart or wish list. Probably they don't want to make dead stock. Then they watch customers need. I want bulk head. But it will stock on end of June. But I found another brand Arrma. Is the bulkhead same spec as DNX8? Is Arrma one of Hobbico brand? The picture is Durango. It is 2 dollars expensive.

Break In Part3

This picture is same type OS engine piston. But each engines take different way of break in. Already you can understand. Left side is running in,right side is stand in.  Each engine left side is exhaust side. Thermal expansion lean left side continued long time. Then piston top scrape right side only.  And piston side doesn't scrape uniformity. Stand in disuse piston. Not break in,only do break. It takes a balance by chance for short term. So I said heat cycle is very important. Heat cycling protect piston to lean thermal. Perfect break in is like this. Piston top scraping belt width is uniformity on zoom up shot! AND piston side luster is uniformity.
