Air Filter

Currently many buggies change Air Filter to Losi style.
Why?
 

It's my XB8 inside air filter.
I drive one day long.
Dust adhere only at front area not others.

Losi style filter front end is plastic!
Then Dust could not adhere.

Dust make changing carb setting .
It's a advantage for one hour final race.

DNX8 have MP9 stype air filter.
Ryan Lutz used Losi style in prototype, but production model change to MP9 style.

I'll change to XB8 air filter.
I have many stock XB8 air filter.
Ha ha.

 
It's my D812 Ty Tesmann copy.
He does't cut front window,only side window.
It's avoid dust from air flow.
Probably his air filter kept clean after A Main final race.
This is tank puller parts for Losi8T.
Ty uses the puller and makes a small hole at front window.

But DNX8 body is precut!
I don't like precut.

Arrma

I warry about Durango parts providing. AMain can provide parts after soon I put parts on cart or wish list. Probably they don't want to make dead stock. Then they watch customers need. I want bulk head. But it will stock on end of June. But I found another brand Arrma. Is the bulkhead same spec as DNX8? Is Arrma one of Hobbico brand? The picture is Durango. It is 2 dollars expensive.

Break In Part3

This picture is same type OS engine piston. But each engines take different way of break in. Already you can understand. Left side is running in,right side is stand in.  Each engine left side is exhaust side. Thermal expansion lean left side continued long time. Then piston top scrape right side only.  And piston side doesn't scrape uniformity. Stand in disuse piston. Not break in,only do break. It takes a balance by chance for short term. So I said heat cycle is very important. Heat cycling protect piston to lean thermal. Perfect break in is like this. Piston top scraping belt width is uniformity on zoom up shot! AND piston side luster is uniformity.
